Please follow the steps below if you are interested in withdrawing Digital Assets held in your Paxos Dashboard account to an external wallet.
Prior to initiating a withdrawal, please read through the important information below.
Important Information
- It is your responsibility to ensure the wallet you are withdrawing to supports the network and tokens being withdrawn.
- Once your transaction has been broadcasted, Paxos can no longer cancel your request or help you retrieve your tokens.
You will receive an email from Paxos asking you to confirm first time withdrawals made to a new address. Failure to confirm the address does not lead to the cancellation of your request! - Paxos passes through the network transaction or gas fee to the customer when transferring digital assets to external wallets. The fee will deduct from your total transfer amount. This applies to all crypto assets. Please ensure you have enough additional funds in the crypto asset you are withdrawing to cover the network transaction or gas fee. - Paxos is legally required to share user information, beneficiary information and transaction data where applicable to comply with the Travel Rule. For more information, please refer to What is Travel Rule Universal Solution Technology (“TRUST”)?
Withdrawing Crypto to Saved Addresses
- Sign into your Paxos Dashboard account, and in the "Dashboard" tab, select "Transfer"
- Select "To an External Address/Fiat Account"
- Select the Asset, Network, Source Profile, Destination Address, Amount to Transfer and Reason for transfer.
- Once all details are provided, review the Transfer Amount and Estimated Gas Fee.
- Once satisfied, click on "Submit" to confirm your withdrawal.
Withdrawing Crypto to New/Unsaved Addresses
- If you'd like to send to an address that you haven't yet saved to your account, you can still follow the previous steps, but when selecting the Destination Address in step 3, select "Add Address".
- This will take you to the "Addresses" page of the Dashboard, where you can add a new address by clicking into the "Address" button on the top right.
- This will bring up the following sidebar, where you will be required to input a name/descriptive title for the address, the network, the network address, and beneficiary details.
Note: Please be extra careful when entering the address for withdrawal as Paxos is unable to help you retrieve your assets once they have left the platform. - Note that some Paxos' customers are required to comply with the Travel Rule and may hence be required to input beneficiary information. You may find the criteria in this article.
- Review the address details, and click Submit to save the address to your profile.
Withdrawal Fees
Paxos passes through the network transaction or gas fee to the customer when transferring digital assets to an external wallet. The fee will be added to your total transfer amount. This applies to all crypto assets. Please ensure you have enough additional funds in the crypto asset you are withdrawing to cover the network transaction or gas fee.
